Meet Dr. Hope

Dr. Kaileen Rodriguez was born in Hawaii and grew up in Temecula, California. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and then moved to San Francisco to attend University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) on the Navy Health Scholarship Program.

She then served four years as a Navy Dental Officer. Her assignments included working at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot San Diego, Naval Air Station North Island, and serving as the Dental Department Head of the USS ESSEX (LHD-2) where she deployed throughout the South China Sea and Middle East. She has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer designation. After completing her service obligation, Dr. Rodriguez moved to Las Vegas to specialize in Orthodontics and receive her Master of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Dr. Rodriguez is an active member of the American Academy of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association®, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. She is excited to be back home in the Inland Empire and cannot wait to provide orthodontics for the community she grew up in.

In her free time, Dr. Rodriguez loves going on outdoor adventures with her husband and daughter, trying new foods and traveling with family and friends.

Dr. Scott Hope graduated from Utah State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He spent five years with his family in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine and his master’s degree in orthodontics from St. Louis University. While at Washington University, he received the American Association of Orthodontics® Outstanding Senior Dental Student Award and was also awarded the Bristol Growth Study Fellowship at St. Louis University. Dr. Hope began his orthodontic practice in 1981 in Murrieta, California. Since 1997, he has practiced exclusively in Murrieta.

Dr. Hope and his wife, Cathleen, are the proud parents of five children and eight grandchildren. They have lived in the valley since 1988 and enjoy serving in various church, school and civic organizations. Dr. Hope is a member of the Inland Valley Dental Student club, the California Dental Association, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He joined the Miles of Smiles Orthodontics family in March of 2019 and has been a great asset to the team.
